On New Years Eve the festivities start with a grand carvery offering roasted beef, pork and venison with a servery of accompaniments.

That evening and the next evening enjoy a three course hot dinner, prepared
for you at The Fairfield.
There will be a choice of starters and sweets, with unlimited coffee and mints afterwards. After Dinner Liquers will be available.
During the evening, there will be parlour games and roasted chestnuts around a traditional log fire. At midnight there will be
champagne and fireworks and afterwards there will be mulled wine and spiced
treats. After a leisurely breakfast on New Years day,
why not enjoy a brisk walk up the fell, or just relax in the town.
